Buddhism: The Awakening of Wisdom and Compassion

A talk given in the United States, this book is an excellent introduction to Buddhism and, in particular, to the Pure Land school. After explaining that Buddhism is an education, Master Chin Kung goes on to discuss the goal of Buddhist practice, and also explains the symbolism of Buddhist images and offerings. The main section of the book details for Pure Land practitioners his five guidelines, which include the Three Conditions, Six Harmonies, Threefold Learning, Six Paramitas, and Ten Great Vows. Changing Destiny
